11/21/2011 - PMSL: Not a Cookie-Cutter Mixer Manufacturer

Every shipped mixer begins with the tender and cooperative Sales/Customer relationship.

Every such relationship involves listening, observing, and carefully recording all of a project’s requirements – both technical and commercial – so that PMSL does not just ship another mixer, but rather ships the perfect mixing solution in a way none of the cookie-cutter mixer Graphic on computer screenmanufacturers can do.

However, it is not good enough just to have the sales force internalize the customer requirements, the information must be shared and published to the rest of PMSL otherwise a customer’s true concerns will go unanswered. This is where the Order Processing team takes possession of the mixing baton from Sales.

Order Processing processes orders, but what does that really mean? The chief responsibility of the Order Processing (OP) department is to receive the output data from Sales and convert that into the input data of part numbers, job numbers, and drawings in PMSL’s Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system. OP enjoys a close relationship with all PMSL functional groups, particularly with the Sales group. OP reviews the customer’s purchase order, technical data sheets, drawings, e-mails and any other document that Sales has passed along as pertinent information for a given customer.

Ear of order processing for the customerOP has ears for the requests of the customer through Sales and a mouth for the proclamation of those same requests to the other functional groups: Engineering, Sourcing and Production. It is for this reason that Sales is so focused on attending to every detail of the customer’s needs and desires. All information must be flawlessly collected and then effectively communicated to produce a true mixing solution.

Our customers should view our OP department as “your friend on the inside.” Although we may not speak to you on the phone or share e-mail correspondence, rest assured we are diligently and passionately working to ensure your mixing success. We are not interested in providing you generic cookie-cutter solutions; instead, we want to “create” your solution tailored-made for your specific application, sensitivities and goals.
