Process Perfomance Issues?

I recently visited a wet limestone FGD system because the customer called complaining that there were solids building up in the bottom of their limestone slurry storage tank.  I arrived at the site and went to look at the agitator (not a Philly) to try to get a handle on the problem.  The agitator drive was running smoothly, quiet and cool.   There was no apparent mechanical problem on the top side of the system.

Contemplating a Process Change?

Typically industrial mixing equipment is manufactured to mix a specific combination of products, in a specific tank configuration, at a specific horsepower and RPM.

 If you make a change in the process or move equipment into a different tank configuration, it is important to do a check with your mixer manufacturer for them to do a series of process and mechanical design calculations to determine if your mixer will perform favorably in its new environment or if adjustments are necessary.
